I’m Francesco Sguotti and I run an independent software studio in Monselice. I build websites, products and digital systems, but the work usually starts before code: by observing a process, finding where it gets stuck and understanding what is actually worth changing.

Developer, analyst and curious person are parts of the same work: the aim is not to add technology to an organisation, but to understand where it can remove friction.
The path

Business to read an organisation. Marketing to understand attention, demand and measurement. Computer science to build tools that stand up to daily use. That is the combination I bring to every project.

How I think
Take apart, understand, measure, improve.
It is a method, not a slogan. It applies to a website that does not bring enquiries, an internal process spread across sheets, a business tool or an automation: observe the real system first, then decide what to build.
Measurement
Data, tracking and useful signals should lead to better decisions, not decorative dashboards.
Context
Each project should respect its users, available time and the work already happening in the organisation.
Hacker mindset
Look at systems closely, with responsibility.
For me, hacking does not mean looking for shortcuts or vulnerabilities to exploit. It is a mindset: ask questions, understand hidden connections, test assumptions and find a sturdier way for things to work. It helps when the problem has not yet been framed well.

Computer science / building
Code is where analysis becomes something people can use.
Computer science matters to me because it demands precision: data, rules, exceptions, permissions and response times. In a software studio, that precision becomes faster websites, clearer products and automation that removes unnecessary steps without taking visibility away from people.
Added value
The goal is not to deliver a feature. It is to improve a point in the work.
Every intervention should leave something clearer than before: an easier decision, more reliable information, a less repetitive task or a service that finally takes a useful form for the people using it.
Clarity
An understandable scope before adding complexity.
Usefulness
A solution shaped around a real action, not a demo.
Evolution
A base that can be measured, corrected and grown.
Outside the screen
Work is trained elsewhere, too.
Tennis, mountains, community work and volunteering are not a side list. They keep discipline, listening and responsibility as important as the technical solution.
A project does not start with technology
It starts with a well-framed question.
